Lindsay Roman etched her name in the Hawks history books Saturday, pitching seven perfect innings, retiring 21 straight batters without a walk or a hit to register the program's first ever perfect game for the State University of New York at New Paltz.

SUNY New Paltz SAAC Hosts Annual Special Olympics Basketball Tournament

The State University of New York at New Paltz Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted their annual Special Olympics program in the Athletic and Wellness Center. Around 20 student-athletes volunteered to work the event, including Hawks from the men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's lacrosse, softball and field hockey programs. Six teams participated in the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament with the Hawks helping officiate, keeping stats and scoreboard for the para-athletes to be fully immersed in their athletic environment.

2023 Joint Mathematics Meetings

New Paltz Mathematics students attended the 2023 conference in Boston, which attracted over 5000 mathematicians to Boston this year. Faculty and students both had the opportunity to present research and network with the mathematics community at large. The School of Science and Engineering also acknowledges the students who conducted research last year who did not present at the conference.
