SUNY New Paltz School of Business students won New Paltz's Business Incubator Competition, the culmination of the elective Student Incubator (BUS593) course. This comes off of wins at the Mid-Hudson Regional Business Plan Competition and New York State Business Plan Competition earlier this spring semester, and prize money is now going towards making winning startup idea Dispose O Oil a reality.

SUNY New Paltz SAAC Hosts Annual Special Olympics Basketball Tournament

The State University of New York at New Paltz Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted their annual Special Olympics program in the Athletic and Wellness Center. Around 20 student-athletes volunteered to work the event, including Hawks from the men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's lacrosse, softball and field hockey programs. Six teams participated in the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament with the Hawks helping officiate, keeping stats and scoreboard for the para-athletes to be fully immersed in their athletic environment.

Faculty and students both had the opportunity to present research and network with the mathematics community at large. The School of Science and Engineering also acknowledges the students who conducted research last year who did not present at the conference.
