Sebastian Gordon-Somers-Archer named to 2016 SUNY New Paltz Men's Soccer Team

Sebastian Gordon-Somers-Archer of Forest Hills, N.Y. has been named to the 2016 SUNY New Paltz Men's Soccer team.

Last season, the Hawks finished 10-8-1 (3-6 SUNYAC) but were on the outside looking in on the postseason. New Paltz finished 7-4-1 at home.

A new era begins in 2016 for the State University of New York at New Paltz men's soccer team as the Hawks welcome first-year head coach Kyle Clancy to the helm.

"We've been improving as a team throughout the spring and the preseason," Clancy said. "The guys came in fit and ready to compete right away and the returners have done a great job adjusting to the new philosophies I've brought in and it's definitely an intelligent group.

"I'm excited; I love the competitiveness SUNYAC brings and we want to make the playoffs. By focusing on our daily habits with a winning mentality and establishing a new culture, all the other things will follow."
