Victoria Prashad of Lagrangeville, N.Y. is being recognized as a Writing Consultant for SUNY New Paltz at the Center for Student Success.

Writing Consultants aide students on writing projects across the curriculum. Students work with the consults to plan, organize, review, and discuss the assignments. At the Writers' Studio, the main focus is to develop confidence and self-effiency in the student's written work.

Consultants understand that writing is a process, so they help employ new writing strategies and assist SUNY New Paltz students in all stages of the writing process.
