Rebecca Borquist Named 2015 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-Americans

Rebecca Borquist of Rhinebeck, N.Y. has been named as 2015 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American, as announced by the AVCA.

In addition, Borquist was also tabbed as an AVCA All-Northeast Region selection for the 2015 season.

This marks Borquist's third AVCA All-America nod of her career, as she has been an Honorable Mention All-American in 2013 and 2015 and a Third-Team All-American in 2014. In addition, she earned AVCA All-Region selection in each of the past three seasons. Borquist earned at least a share of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season in 2015 and has proven herself as one of the most decorated student-athletes in the history of the New Paltz women's volleyball program, as she earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors in each of the past three seasons, including 2015. She has earned All-SUNYAC honors during all four years of her career at New Paltz, and during her freshman season in 2012, she was named the SUNYAC East Division Rookie of the Year. Borquist was a key member of the Hawks' 2014 SUNYAC championship team, as she was named the SUNYAC Tournament MVP for her efforts throughout the tournament.
