Morgan Roessler Named SUNYAC Volleyball Player of the Week

Morgan Roessler of Massapequa, NY has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Volleyball Player of the Week for the Fall 2016 season.

Roessler helped lead the Hawks (9-7, 3-0 SUNYAC) to a 3-0 weekend, defeating SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Oswego and SUNY Fredonia in the process. With those victories, New Paltz now moves to 33-1 since 2008 against those opponents including the postseason.

Roessler tallied double-digit kill marks in all three wins, totaling 40 kills for the weekend (4.00 kps). The senior hit .493 (40-7-67) while adding 13 digs, eight aces and eight total blocks.

This is the second time Roessler has earned SUNYAC Player of the Week honors as she took home the distinction on Sept. 6.
