Maxine Gross of Brooklyn, N.Y. is a member of the SUNY New Paltz chapter of Kappa Delta Phi NAS.

Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority was founded in 1971 at Husson College in Bangor, Maine. The purpose of Kappa Delta Phi is to promote academic success, encourage community interest through philanthropy, & cultivate the bonds of sisterhood.

As a member of Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority, Maxine gains leadership skills through chapter development, officer roles, governing opportunities and training programs. In addition, Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority gives back to the local community through community service and philanthropic events every year.

The Fraternity and Sorority Community at the State University of New York at New Paltz is dedicated to the ideals of friendship, scholarship, leadership, and service to the campus and community.

Students may participate in the New Member Education Program of a fraternity or a sorority after successfully completing at least 12 credits at SUNY New Paltz, and having a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
