Manuel Tejada is a member of the SUNY New Paltz chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha.

The Fraternity and Sorority Community at the State University of New York at New Paltz is dedicated to the ideals of friendship, scholarship, leadership, and service to the campus and community.

As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Manuel gains leadership skills through chapter development, officer roles, governing opportunities and training programs. In addition, Alpha Phi Alpha gives back to the local community through community service and philanthropic events year after year. Fraternities and sororities provide members with a family experience while here at college. Alpha Phi Alpha members share a strong bond and deep friendship that only a fraternity can provide.

Alpha Phi Alpha is the first African American, inter-collegiate Greek-lettered fraternity. It was founded in 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. Alpha Phi Alpha develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, and provides service and advocacy for our communities.

Students may participate in the New Member Education Program of a fraternity or a sorority after successfully completing at least 12 credits at SUNY New Paltz, and having a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
