Madison Coffey helps stage "Shadow of a Gunman"

Madison Coffey of Ronkonkoma, N.Y. was a member of cast and crew of the SUNY New Paltz Theatre Department production of Sean O'Casey's "Shadow of a Gunman."

The 1923 tragicomedy is set during the Irish War of Independence. The first installment of O'Casey's "Dublin trilogy," "Shadow of a Gunman" follows young poet Donal Davoren as a case of mistaken identity leads him to adapt a new persona of an IRA assassin to win the love of a young woman, Minnie Powell.
