Katherine Small was named to the 2016-17 All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Teams.

Katherine Small helped the Hawks to a No. 2 seed in the 2017 SUNYAC Women's Basketball Tournament, earning a semifinal round win over No. 6 Brockport before defeating No. 1 SUNY Geneseo in the championship final, 58-57, snapping the Knights' 26-game winning streak.

New Paltz earned the SUNYAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
