Jessica Herd Inducted into Alpha Epsilon Phi at SUNY New Paltz

2017 Mar 16

Jessica Herd is a member of the SUNY New Paltz chapter of Alpha Epsilon Phi.

The Fraternity and Sorority Community at the State University of New York at New Paltz is dedicated to the ideals of friendship, scholarship, leadership, and service to the campus and community.

As a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi, Jessica gains leadership skills through chapter development, officer roles, governing opportunities and training programs. In addition, Alpha Epsilon Phi gives back to the local community through community service and philanthropic events year after year. Fraternities and sororities provide members with a family experience while here at college. Alpha Epsilon Phi members share a strong bond and deep friendship that only a sorority can provide.

The Alpha Epsilon Phi Foundation was created in 1959 and was the first National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sorority foundation. Alpha Epsilon Phi at SUNY New Paltz is a member of the NPC. The mission of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority is "to inspire and support exemplary women dedicated to friendship and a lifelong commitment to Alpha Epsilon Phi while building on the vision of our Jewish founders."

Students may participate in the New Member Education Program of a fraternity or a sorority after successfully completing at least 12 credits at SUNY New Paltz, and having a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
