Geraldine Humbert Inducted into Alpha Kappa Alpha at SUNY New Paltz

2017 Mar 30

Geraldine Humbert is a member of the SUNY New Paltz chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha.

The Fraternity and Sorority Community at the State University of New York at New Paltz is dedicated to the ideals of friendship, scholarship, leadership, and service to the campus and community.

As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Geraldine gains leadership skills through chapter development, officer roles, governing opportunities and training programs. In addition, Alpha Kappa Alpha gives back to the local community through community service and philanthropic events year after year. Fraternities and sororities provide members with a family experience while here at college. Alpha Kappa Alpha members share a strong bond and deep friendship that only a fraternity or sorority can provide.

As Alpha Kappa Alpha has grown, it has maintained its focus in two key arenas: the lifelong personal and professional development of each of its members; and galvanizing its membership into an organization of respected power and influence, consistently at the forefront of effective advocacy and social change that results in equality and equity for all citizens of the world.

Students may participate in the New Member Education Program of a fraternity or a sorority after successfully completing at least 12 credits at SUNY New Paltz, and having a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
