Dani Ackerman of Nesconset, NY has been named a 2015 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) NCAA Division III All-North Atlantic Region selection.

Ackerman, who also was an NFHCA Second-Team All-American in 2014, earned three All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selections during her career, receiving Second-Team recognition in 2013 before making the All-SUNYAC First Team in 2014 and 2015. One of the most decorated student-athletes in program history, she finished up her career as the program's all-time leader in goals scored (39) and points (98). In addition, she achieved 20 assists during her career, which ranks third all-time in the program's record book. This season, Ackerman tallied five goals and four assists for 14 points. Ackerman started in all 88 of New Paltz's games since her freshman season in 2012, including 22 contests this year. A 2012 graduate of Smithtown High School East, she is the daughter of James and Judy Ackerman.
