Christian Boggiano takes part in 2015 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience Program

The State University of New York at New Paltz Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program is an eight week, full time research opportunity that encourages faculty-student collaboration.

During the summer of 2015, Christian Boggiano of Gardiner, NY completed a research project entitled "Use of Digital Image Correlation to Reduce Material Testing Requirements for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Qualification."

SURE program participants conduct faculty-mentored research or creative activities in order to expand their knowledge and gain valuable scholastic experience.

Upon completion of their various projects, students present their research to an audience of faculty, staff and students during a major fall semester event. This helps students develop additional skills communicating their research and responding to questions.
