Carol Tyson Named SUNYAC Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week

Carol Tyson of Clinton Corners, NY has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Tennis single player of the week, as announced on Sept. 19.

Tyson picked up a pair of singles wins this past weekend, defeating her SUNY Plattsburgh foe 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles to help her team clinch the No. 1 seed in the SUNYAC East division.

She also earned a No. 3 singles victory at RPI, winning 7-6, 6-2. So far this year, Tyson is 5-0 in singles play with a 4-0 mark at flight three.

Tyson and the Hawks (4-1, 3-0 SUNYAC East) host SUNY Geneseo on Friday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. in a rematch of last season's SUNYAC Championship match.
