Brian Vazquez inducted into the SUNY New Paltz chapter of Pi Alpha Nu.

Brian Vazquez of Massapequa, N.Y. is a member of the SUNY New Paltz chapter of Pi Alpha Nu.

The aims of the Pi Alpha Nu Fraternity are to promote high standards and ideals in character, fellowship and scholarship. The Fraternity maintains these aims through college and community activities. The self-reliance and initiative of the individual, and of the Fraternity, are enriched by both social functions and academic achievement.

As a member of Pi Alpha Nu, Brian gains leadership skills through chapter development, officer roles, governing opportunities and training programs. In addition, Pi Alpha Nu gives back to the local community through community service and philanthropic events every year.

The Fraternity and Sorority Community at the State University of New York at New Paltz is dedicated to the ideals of friendship, scholarship, leadership, and service to the campus and community.

Students may participate in the New Member Education Program of a fraternity or a sorority after successfully completing at least 12 credits at SUNY New Paltz, and having a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
