Breanna Hanson Inducted into Sigma Lambda Gamma at SUNY New Paltz

2016 Feb 25

Breanna Hanson is a member of the SUNY New Paltz chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma.

The Fraternity and Sorority Community at the State University of New York at New Paltz is dedicated to the ideals of friendship, scholarship, leadership, and service to the campus and community.

As a member of Sigma Lambda Gamma, Breanna gains leadership skills through chapter development, officer roles, governing opportunities and training programs. In addition, Sigma Lambda Gamma gives back to the local community through community service and philanthropic events year after year. Fraternities and sororities provide members with a family experience while here at college. Sigma Lambda Gamma members share a strong bond and deep friendship that only a fraternity or sorority can provide.

Sigma Lambda Gamma is a historically Latina-based national sorority with multicultural membership founded in 1990 at the University of Iowa. Today, Sigma Lambda Gamma is the largest historically Latina-based multicultural national sorority, and one of the fastest growing fraternal organizations in chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States, having expanded to more than 100 universities in less than 20 years.

Students may participate in the New Member Education Program of a fraternity or a sorority after successfully completing at least 12 credits at SUNY New Paltz, and having a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
