Ada Bellantoni recieves the NYSCEEA Student of the Year Award

SUNY New Paltz senior Ada Bellantoni of Staten Island, N.Y. received the 2017 Student of the Year award from the New York State Cooperative and Experiential Education Association for her work as a student intern.

The Student of the Year award is given in recognition of exceptional success in student internship and has a student who has made a contribution to experiential education.

Bellantoni has had many jobs since arriving at the College, but in 2017 added a number of internships. Her most in-depth work was with the City of Kingston's Planning Department.

She also took up a second internship with the NYC Council's Transportation Committee, held multiple leadership roles with New Paltz government and club chapters, as well as completing the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program.

"I am truly blessed and honored to have been presented so many incredible opportunities in my career thus far and this honor stands to promise that hard work does not go unnoticed," Bellantoni said.
