"The Superman Letters" wins documentary film award

Miriam Ward, was one member of a team of SUNY New Paltz students who took third place in the Short Form Documentary Category at the 2015 Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts.

Ward served as the film's Director & Producer.

For 12 years the BEA has held its Festival of Media Arts in conjunction with their national conference and the National Association of Broadcasters Expo in Las Vegas. The competition this year had 1,300 entries across a range of categories from Student Documentary, Student News, Student Screenplay, Student Sports, Student Video, and Faculty categories as well. Less than 10% of entrants were awarded this year, which means our students continue to create nationally recognized top-tiered work.
